PEVELY, Mo. (AP) -- A St. Louis-area man has become the 300th person to win a prize worth at least $1 million through the Missouri Lottery.
Lottery officials said Monday that 56-year-old Ernest Pullen of Pevely won the top prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket purchased at The Stand in downtown St. Louis.
Top prize winners of the Scratchers ticket known as "100 Million dollar Blockbuster" have the option of receiving $50,000 a year for 20 years or a lump-sum cash payment equal to the cost of the $1 million annuity.
