(KMOV) – A 19 foot high, 2 and ½ ton elephant statue is being installed at the South Entrance of the St. Louis Zoo Thursday.
The bronze “Reaching Elephant” sculpture reaches into a newly planted tree.
The sculptor, Ken Ullberg, calls it a “forever changing composition,” as the tree continues to grow.
The new South Entrance to the Zoo will be completed this fall including a bridge over Wells Drive.
