(KMOV) -- A group of skateboarders took a rundown piece of land they had nothing to do with and turned it into a skateboard park, and no one seems to mind.
In the space under the Kingshighway Bridge a group of skateboarders picked up trash, painted over graffitti and built ramps and other essentials for a skate park.
It took nearly two years, and bridge inspectors didn't say a word about the park. The city streets director said the skaters actually made improvements and didn't recieve any complaints from nearby businesses.
The skaterboarders responsible for most of the work on the park did so with their own money and are holding fundraisers to pay for more materials.
