ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – An elderly man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly shooting a man who was trying to repossess the his vehicle in north St. Louis city.
Police say Andrew Johnson, 79, was charged for 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of A Weapon and Leaving the Scene of A Shooting. He is being held on $150,000 bond.
According to authorities, the incident happened on June 15 in the 5600 block of Delmar.
The victim is still recovering from the shooting.
Officers say he was able to drive away from the scene but later hit a parked car and ambulance at Union and Delmar during the incident.
