ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A woman and a little girl were passengers in a car involved in a police chase early Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, the pursuit began around 1:00 a.m. in Pine Lawn after officers tried to pull over a man who had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Officers say the man refused to stop his Nissan Maxima and instead drove away. The woman and the little girl were inside his car at the time.

Police say the pursuit went on for about a half hour and that officers followed the man onto the Martin Luther King Bridge, into East St. Louis and around Lacledes Landing.
It was reported that the chase ended around 1:30 a.m. after St. Louis police stopped the man on Interstate 70 near Shreve and took him into custody.
No one was hurt during the incident.
