It's been a rough week or so for Pat Chamberlain. His 2003 Ford F150 was stolen last week. Then police found it Monday but it stayed at the impound lot a few days while they completed their investigation.
Meantime, the bill for storing the truck at Eddie's Towing in Wellston was adding up.
Pat called us and Wednesday we got a couple of promises... one from police to get the prints off the truck so Pat could get his car back.. and one from the tow lot not to charge him for three days of storage but just one.
We were there around noon Thursday to witness everyone keeping their word. Pat got his pick-up back and paid the tow lot $125.
"They have a business to run," Pat said. "$125 is fair."
Things aren't quite back to normal, though. The trio who stole his truck banged it up pretty good on the front passenger side. Now it's off to the body shop to spend more of his money to fix it.
