ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – The Metrolink station on Grand Boulevard will not re-open on Monday, June 6, as planned.
The station will remain closed due to construction on the Grand Boulevard Bridge.
Metro officials say the agency wants to reduce pedestrian traffic near the site, which is why the area has not been re-opened.
Metrolink trains will continue to travel through the Grand Metrolink station, but will not stop for boarding.
During the closure, passengers who normally board the train at Grand will be rerouted to Union Station.
Travelers who normally use the Grand station are warned to plan accordingly, and add an additional 15 minutes to their commute.
Metro has not yet said when the station will re-open.
