(KMOV) – Tenants at the Kirkwood Bluffs Apartments are concerned for their health and safety stemming from a fire at the complex in February.
Six units were destroyed during the blaze and no progress has been made to repair the building.
Residents say that children who play near the area have been diagnosed with respiratory infections and believe the building is not structurally safe for children to play near.
Mills Properties told News 4 that insurance companies and lawyers have held back the rebuilding process for the complex.
The rebuilding of the complex should begin this month and be completed by October.
