St. Louis area mall shoppers help Joplin victims

Two days after the tragic tornado in Joplin, St. Louis area CBL Malls became drop off points for all sorts of donations... clothing, bedding, toys, food, personal care items, etc.

Wednesday morning the culmination of that effort happened outside Chesterfield Mall as all the items from all the malls were brought there, sorted and loaded up on a donated big-rig and some U-hauls.

It's all headed to the CBL-owned mall in Joplin, Northpark Mall.  That mall was not hit by the tornado and has become a drop-off and pick-up point for donations from throughout the region.

The big rig of donations from the St. Louis area will leave Wednesday evening and arrive at the mall parking lot in Joplin sometime Thursday.

The effort will be much appreciated.
