(KMOV) – Two Jefferson County men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station in Barnhart, Missouri.
The robbery happened just after midnight on Tuesday at the U-Gas in the 1700 block of Catlin Drive.
The gas station clerk tells Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies that a black man walked into the store wearing a red bandana over his face. The clerk says the suspect walked up to the cash register while holding a handgun in front of his waist and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk activated the hold-up alarm and told the man to leave. The suspect then left the store.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the gas station and found that the suspect arrived at the scene in a white Pontiac Grand Prix with no license plates. The vehicle was similar to one known to deputies who work in the area.
Authorities identified and arrested two men in connection with this incident.
Mitchell Fox, 23, and Kyle Harrison, 24, were charged with first-degree attempted armed robbery. Both men are being held on $100,000 bond.
