(KMOV.com) – A 22-year-old Manchester man died after his car caught fire following a wreck in Randolph County early Monday morning.
Authorities say Chrisopother Opre, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe southbound near County Road 2650 south of Renick around 3:15 a.m. when his car left the road.
Deputies say Opre’s car traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck a fence and tree before catching fire.
Opre was unable to get out of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not immediately known what caused Opre to leave the road. An investigation is ongoing.
