(KMOV.com) -- Some Belleville residents frustrated with the city after the last snow storm got a welcome surprise Tuesday morning.
City plows hit streets early in the morning and had nearly all streets cleared by morning rush hour.
Residents on North Indiana say it took several days for their street to be cleared earlier in January when about a foot of snow fell.
Since then, neighbors got their city alderwoman involved.
It appears today it paid off.
“A couple of us had called the aldermen and City Hall,” said resident Jackie Schubert. “They were very nice when we called, but we did call, and they said, ‘you were on a list already.’”
The Belleville mayor has appointed a committee to review the current snow routes and ordinances, and members could make recommended changes in a few weeks.
