( – The St. Louis area got another round of snow Thursday morning, creating slick road conditions across the region. It continued a winter that’s already seen more snow than all of last year.

The snow started overnight as temperatures lingered in the upper 20s.

“This won’t amount to much, anywhere from a dusting to maybe as much as two inches,” said News 4 Meteorologist Matt Chambers.

The snow was tapered off in St. Louis around 8 a.m

“The problem is, many streets were already covered with some snow,” Chambers said.

Chambers said by the afternoon temperatures will rise to about 44 degrees, with a chance of a sprinkle.

“Cold air and strong winds crash the party and bring another blast of chilly air,” Chambers said.

Later this evening, a couple of flurries are not out of the question as temperatures drop to the teens.

Friday will bring much lower temperatures, with highs in the mid-20s under mostly cloudy conditions.
