(KMOV) – A main break sent a geyser of water into the air and onto a Maryland Heights apartment building on Tuesday.
The break happened at the Bennington Heights Apartment complex around 11 a.m.
Water shot several feet into the air, flooding the streets and at least four apartment units on the bottom floor.
Missouri American Water officials shut the water off around 11:50 a.m. to begin repairs. Officials did not have a timetable for when it would be fixed.
The amount of damage to the building was not immediately known.
