(KMOV) — A missing child that prompted AMBER alerts from St. Louis County police was found inside an abandoned vehicle in south St. Louis late Monday night.

Authorities say Tristin Readye, 1, was found in good condition inside the vehicle.

Police issued Amber and S.A.R.A.A. Alerts for Readye after the 2004 yellow Monte Carlo was stolen from a convenience store in the 2900 block of Patterson in north St. Louis County. According to police, the child’s mother was getting gas or inside the store paying when someone jumped inside the car and took off.

Readye was found abandoned in the same vehicle near the intersection of Illinois and S. Broadway around 10:30 p.m.

Police have not released any information on a suspect.

Authorities say the stolen vehicle would be returned to the mother after it was processed by police. It was not immediately clear if she faces charges.
