(KMOV.com) -- First Target, Then Neiman Marcus. Now, three more retailers say their systems may have been hacked during the holiday shopping season.
According to a Reuters report, millions of Americans who used credit and debit cards are vulnerable to fraud and theft. The three newest retailers were not named in the report.
It follows some 70 million Target shoppers who had names, phone numbers and email addresses stolen, on top of 40 million cards compromised.
It’s changing the way some people shop, with many customers reverting to using cash.
Cyber security experts say the methods used in both the Neiman Narcus and Target hacks suggest they’re linked and the thieves may be from Eastern Europe.
