(KMOV)-- A four-year-old girl and a 44-year-old man died in a wreck late Monday night in Jersey County, officials say.
The girl was in the back seat of a car that crossed Highway 67 and struck a tractor trailer.
Authorities said the man was driving a Ford Taurus when he crossed Highway 67 and struck a tractor trailer.
The girl was sitting in a booster seat in the back seat of the car. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say 47-year-old Harold Hardwick, the driver of the tractor trailer that was hit, was drunk. He's been charged with a DUI and drug possession. He suffered minor injuries.
No word yet on what caused the one driver to cross the center line.
