(KMOV) – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued warrants for the arrest of Marquise Lockhart, 17, who was involved in the shooting of a Maryland Heights police sergeant.
A 16-year-old suspect was also taken into custody and transported to St. Louis County Family Court.
Police arrested Lockhart’s brother, Evan Lockhart, 19, on Saturday January 1, in connection to the December 18th shooting of a Maryland Heights police detective.
Police said Evan Lockhart shot Sergeant Joe Eagan while Eagan was conducting surveillance in his unmarked police car in Jennings.
Both Marquise and Evan Lockhart were charged with assault on a police officer, attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. Marquise is being held on a $250,000 bond. Evan is being held without bond.
