EAST ALTON, Ill. (AP) -- An autopsy will be conducted later in the day in the case of a 71-year-old East Alton man who was reported missing last weekend.
Madison County Coroner Stephen Nonn says authorities continue to investigate the death of Charles Yost and the autopsy is scheduled for noon on Saturday.
Police found Yost's body Thursday near a dumpster area by a vacant restaurant. The location wasn't far from Yost's home.
East Alton police say there were no signs of trauma to the body and the death doesn't appear suspicious.
Yost was last seen by his wife on Sunday afternoon.
Police had expressed concerns for Yost because of the cold temperatures this week and because he had a history of medical problems.
