(KMOV) – A local school coach was injured after he was shot Wednesday at the intersection of Cote Brilliante Ave. and Grand Blvd. in north St. Louis.
According to the Post Dispatch, 37-year-old Mylin Johnson is a coach at John Burroughs School. He leads the freshman football team and is an assistant coach for the varsity football and basketball teams.
Police say the victim reports he was in his car driving east on Cote Brilliante Ave. when another vehicle pulled alongside the victim, blocking his path.
When victim then tried to pull off, the suspect(s) started shooting, striking the victim in the arm.
Police say the victim drove himself to a nearby Church's Chicken restaurant at Grand Blvd. and Bell.
The victim was taken to an area hospital. There is no word on a motive, and no one has been arrested.
