Woman steals more than $25,000 from Fenton employer

(KMOV)--Authorities said Wednesday that A High Ridge woman is charged with stealing more than $25,000 from a business in Fenton.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Jessica Harris, 30, was arrested for stealing over $25,000 from her employer Micro Engineering Inc.

According to the investigation, Harris had been an employee at the business for the last eight years, during which she fraudulently removed checks from the business account, forged checks, and later cashed them for personal benefit.

The investigation suggests the fraud will surpass $200,000.

Harris was charged with one count of stealing over $25,000, and was released after posting a surety on $10,000.00 Bond.
