(KMOV) -- A Barnhart man faces burglary charges after being caught on the rooftop of a South County convenience store.

An employee of the store called police Tuesday morning and reported someone was on the roof and attempting to cut through the ceiling with a saw.  When officers arrived they saw the man on the roof and took him into custody.

The suspect has been identified as Buddy L. Ferguson, 47, of the 1500 block of Ligori in Barnhart.

St. Louis County detectives from the Bureau of Crimes Against Property, Burglary Unit, are investigating Ferguson's possibly involvement in 14 additional burglaries or attempt burglaries throughout St. Louis County and Jefferson County.
