(KMOV) -- The Circuit Attorney's Office has issued at-large warrants to arrest a woman accused of 2nd Degree Murder among other charges Thursday.
According to police 47-year-old Theresa Fortner is responsible for causing a single vehicle accident back on July 4 around 9:15 a.m. in the 7100 block of Idaho.
Police say the woman was headed northbound on I-55 and lost control of her vehicle on the Loughborough exit.
According to authorities, the vehicle ran over grass near the exit, struck a road sign, crossed the 7100 block of Idaho, hit a stairway and tree, then flipped over before finally coming to rest against a home.
Both the the driver and passenger, 17-month-old Bella Houston were taken to an area hospital after the accident. Fortner and Houston were listed in critical condition after the accident.
Houston passed away due to injuries caused by the accident one day after on July 5.
In addition to facing pending warrants for 2nd Degree Murder, Fortner also faces warrants for 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action, 1st Degree Involuntary Manslaughter and 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Fortner has not been arrested by police at this time.
