COLLINSVILLE, Il. (KMOV) -- Three people were charged Wednesday in connection to a home burglary in Collinsville, Illinois. Detectives say the suspects are the latest to admit they were motivated by a need for cash to get a drug fix.

Marlon Taylor, 27, John Carlson, 55, and Ashley N. Dedmon, 26, were charged in Madison County Circuit Court with a felony charge of residential burglary.

The victim of the burglary reported returning home in the 700 block of Troy Road on August 3rd, and finding the rear door to the residence forced open.

Dedmon was present during the burglary and benefited from the property taken. Carlson was the one who provided transportation from the scene.

Bond has been set at $70,000 on Taylor and at $50,000 on Carlson and Dedmon.
