(KMOV.com) – A human skull found on July 27 in Lincoln County is the skull of a 25-year-old man who has been missing since December 2010, according to authorities.
A forensic odontology, performed by the St. Louis Medical Examiner’s Office, revealed the skull was of Nicholas Michael Coppola who was first reported missing on December 20, 2010. Coppola’s parents reported their son missing to the Floristell Police Department after not hearing from him for 10 days.
At this time the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Foristell Police Department as well as the Warren County Sheriff’s Office to compile all the investigative material in the Coppola case after the case initially went cold.
According to authorities, there is no information indicating foul play.
