(KMOV) -- MoDOT has announced that it will close the left lane of eastbound Interstate 270 between Lindbergh Blvd. and Interstate 170 this weekend.
Crews will close the left lane beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, August 26 and a second left lane will close Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Two lanes will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, August 29.
Access to eastbound I-270 from both northbound and southbound Lindbergh Boulevard will be closed during the weekend lane closures.
MoDOT advises drivers to use the following detours during the weekend closures:
· Northbound Lindbergh traffic is advised to use Pershall Road to eastbound I-270.
· Southbound Lindbergh traffic is advised to use Taylor to Dunn Road to eastbound I-270.
· Eastbound I-70 traffic is advised to continue east on I-70 to northbound I-170.
MoDOT will post message on I-70, I-270 and Lindbergh Boulevard notifying motorists of the work on eastbound I-270.
MoDOT says this work is part of the bridge rehabilitation project for the Coldwater Creek bridges on eastbound and westbound I-270.
Various lane closures will occur over the next two to three months for this project.
