(KMOV) – Parts of a vacant south St. Louis City house landed onto the house next door after the neighbors had called numerous times to St. Louis City officials to complain about the problem.
Pieces of the vacant house knocked the electric meter off the house next door and left the residents without electricity. The home also suffered damage to its gutters and pieces fell through a window and into the kitchen.
St. Louis Development Corporation say they will place the residents in hotel rooms until they determine what else can be done to help them.
St. Louis City will also have a demolition crew knock down the vacant house.
