EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV) – The FBI has launched a search for two men who robbed a US Bank in East St. Louis on Tuesday.

The robbery happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on North 8th Street.

According to officials, two men entered the bank and one of the men asked for change for a $20 bill. That man then showed a handgun and demanded money from the teller. The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as African American, approximately 6'0" tall, slim build, dark complexion, last seen wearing all black clothing and a baseball cap.  He was also carrying a black gym bag, officials say. The second suspect is described as a black male with a slender build and medium height. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, white Nike tennis shoes, orange baseball cap with a red bandana underneath and blue jeans.

No injuries were reported.
