$50,000 Reward for suspect in post office robbery

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Officials are looking for a man accused of firing a shot while robbing the post office on South Jefferson near Gravois .

According to police, the suspect entered the post office, approached the clerk and announced a robbery. While the clerk tried to comply, the suspect fired one shot which hit a postal scale. After the clerk complied with the suspect’s demands, the suspect left the post office. 

No injuries were reported, but police say the man did escape with money.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5-feet, 6-inches, 130-150 pounds. He was wearing a black athletic jacket with a white stripe on the sleeves, a black baseball cap and had a white towel over his face.
