ST. LOUIS -- An aide to Gov. Jay Nixon who briefly led the state Economic Development Department is joining the St. Louis Regional Chamber.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Wednesday that Jason Hall will become the regional chamber’s vice president for business development and corporate counsel at the end of June. His responsibilities will include creating programs to help smaller businesses grow.
Hall began serving as state economic development director in late December 2011 and resigned in early February 2012 after the state Senate refused to confirm him. After the confirmation stalled, the governor’s office said Hall would serve as deputy director of the Department of Economic Development.
Chamber President Joe Reagan says Hall has a blend of business savvy, technical expertise and regional knowledge.
