ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) -- A Lindenwood University student faces sentencing July 29 after admitting she made a bomb threat in an effort to get out of class.

The student, 38-year-old Lori Knight of St. Louis, pleaded guilty last week to a charge of making a terrorist threat.

Authorities say Knight called the switchboard of Lindenwood, in St. Charles, from a blocked phone line on May 1 and said her brother planned a bombing at the university’s Westport campus in St. Louis County.

Police were able to track the call to Knight. She told police she hoped the threat would cancel classed for the night because she wasn’t prepared for a class.

Knight is free on bond but with the condition that she have no contact with Lindenwood and stay off university property.
