Second-grader says teacher taped him to chair for three hours

(KENS 5) --A San Antonio mom said her 8-year-old son was duct taped to a chair by his teacher. She is now demanding answers from the Judson Independent School District.

"I don't want to go back to that school," said Christian Crutchfield.

Crutchfield is afraid to return to school because of what he said happened inside his classroom at Woodlake Elementary on Thursday.

"I said 'Momma, Mr. Wilson duct taped me to my chair,'" he said.

His mother, Natasha, didn't believe it until see saw the bruises around his ankles.

"No its not right at all. I feel that your child should be safe at school," Natasha Crutchfield said.

Christian said he spent more than three hours tapped to a chair.

"[He taped me] like right around me around my shoes and he put it around my stomach," he said.

He said he felt sad and cried in front of his classmates. He asked a teacher aide for help but he refused.

"He said hush or I'm gonna tape your mouth," he continued to say.

Christian said he eventually fell asleep.

"We're just appalled that that was going on in the classroom," said Steve Linscomb with JISD.

A spokesperson with the district said both the teacher and teacher aide admitted to the incident. They resigned the following day.

Mom did file a police report with Judson ISD. She will be enrolling her son to a different school in the fall.
