(BaseballStL) -- Jake Westbrook made his first rehab start on Tuesday since being placed on the disabled list nearly one month ago with right elbow inflammation.
Westbrook, who last pitched in a game on May 8 against the Chicago Cubs, made the start for the Double-A affiliate Springfield Cardinals on Tuesday night.
He scattered six hits while allowing one run and struck out five others in 3.2 innings pitched against Arkansas. He threw 60 pitches, including 45 for strikes, and got four groundouts to one fly out.
Westbrook retired the final five batters faced.
