More Illinois roads closed due to flooding

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV) The Illinois Department of Transported announced more road closures after a due to flooding caused by storms that tore through the Metro East over the weekend.

IDOT officials said IL 3 was closed from Mary's River through Rockwood and IL 155 was shut down near Prairie du Rocher. Both closures are in Randolph County.

Within the next 24 hours, the NWS River Forecasts indicate additional closures may be required. Officials said US 67 at IL 100 in Madison County is most likely to be impacted.

Flooding has required closure of State Highways and Ferries along the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.

Traffic control devices and directional signage, including dynamic message boards, have been deployed to guide motorists safely around major closures.
