(KMOV.com) --A former St. Louis Police officer has been charged with murder, accused of shooting a man to death outside a north St. Louis home.
James Little, 34, was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child on Monday.
St. Louis Police said Little was dropping off the child he has in common with a woman on the 2100 block of Farrar when an argument broke out between the officer and the woman's fiancé, Will Dupree around 6:20 p.m.
Dupree, 32, and Little began to fight, according to police, at which time Little allegedly shot three rounds and fatally wounded Dupree. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
James Little was taken into custody and charged by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office.
According to officials, Little was commissioned as a St. Louis Police officer in December 2002 but left the department in January 2007 for personal reasons.
