ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A man on Tuesday was found guilty in a 2011 road-rage incident that left another man dead in downtown St. Louis.

John Dailey was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Christopher Walton-Jones.

According to prosecutors, on Sept. 21, 2011, Dailey was driving near the intersection of N. Broadway and Hornsby when he nearly hit a vehicle driven by a woman.

The woman, who was driving Walton-Jones, yelled at Dailey to slow down.

Dailey then pulled up alongside her at a nearby intersection. He pulled out a pistol and told her he’d shoot.

The woman sped off and Dailey fired a shot, striking Walton-Jones in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The witness identified Dailey out of a photo lineup and he was arrested. He was later charged with first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and first-degree assault.

Dailey’s trial started on May 20. On Tuesday, he was found guilty of all four counts after jurors deliberated for about two hours.
