(KMOV.com) -- A woman had to be rescued after she drove into deep water in St. Peters late Monday night.
The woman said she was driving home from the grocery store when her vehicle got struck in water near the intersection of Jungermann an Willot.
“Two nice gentleman tried to push out my car and the current started coming over the bridge and the inside of my car started flooding,” she said.
The woman said that’s when a firefighter on scene told everyone to get out of the car. Her vehicle then floated away.
Officials said the woman got stuck trying to drive through high waters caused by severe storms that swept through the region.
