Dozens of vehicles broken into near LouFest in Forest Park

(KMOV) – Authorities are investigating after more than two dozen vehicles were broken into near LouFest in Forest Park.

Authorities said thieves broke into 29 vehicles as the victims were attending the all-day music festival on Sunday.

According to police, suspects broke into 18 vehicles in the 5100 block of Clayton between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.  Police said they took electronics and a flat iron among several items stolen.

Police said five vehicles were also parked at Grant and West Pine around 9:30 p.m. when other thefts occurred. Police said wallets, book bags, electronics and personal papers were among the items stolen.

Police said an IPod was also stolen when suspects broke into five vehicles near Grand and Wells around 7 p.m. Three of those vehicles had nothing taken.

The two-day music festival was held in the park on Saturday and Sunday.

Witnesses said they saw two black male suspects occupying a black Volkswagen. The investigation is ongoing.
