(KMOV) – A suspect is in custody after a 13-year-old girl officials say was abducted in Champaign, Illinois Thursday afternoon was found in southeast Missouri.

Police said Cleo Younce was found safe in Cape Girardeau Friday afternoon.

Authorities said Cape Girardeau police on Friday worked with U.S. Marshals to track Cleo Younce and her alleged abductor, 21-year-old Nicholas Hurley, to a local Walmart after receiving a tip.

Police said they arrested Hurley without incident as he was walking out of the store with Younce. Additional details surrounding her finding were not immediately available.

Authorities said Younce left her home in the 2400 block of Hathaway Dr. around 12:30 p.m.  Thursday to go for a walk.

Police said Youce called her mother about 3:15 p.m. and told her she had been abducted.

Authorities investigated and learned she had been taken by Hurley, who they say was driving a 2000 Bronze Chevrolet Suburban with Indiana license plates.

According to police, the two of them know each other through family friends.

Police said Youce is white, weighs about 175 pounds and has long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark-colored half jacket, a black tank top, dark-colored jeans and black and teal-colored tennis shoes.

Hurley was described as a white male, 6-feet-8 and weighing 295 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
