Photos released of burglary suspects who beat up O'Fallon store employee

(KMOV) – Police are searching for two suspects after an employee of an O’Fallon, Mo. retail store was beat up while trying to stop a robbery on Thursday.

Police said a man and a woman walked into a store in the 1400 block of Mexico Loop Rd. East around 11:45 a.m.

Authorities said the woman grabbed five bottles of alcohol and gave them to the man, who put them in a bag and walked past the registers.

Police said a store employee confronted the man and a struggle ensued. The employee got injured during the fight and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said the man fled the scene on foot. The woman was last seen entering a white conversion van.

Police said the man was 6-feet tall with an average building and close shaved hair. He was wearing a red shirt and light-colored pants with black and white tennis shoes. The woman was about 5-foot tall with a thick building and long-colored hair.
