(FootballStL)– The St. Louis Rams have inked defensive end Eugene Sims to a two-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday morning.
Sims, who’s played with the Rams the past three seasons, was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2013 season.
He had three sacks and an interception last year while racking up 36 tackles.
Sims has started two games for the Rams, appearing in 38 games.
His new contract runs through the 2015 season.
