(KMOV.com) -- One man is dead and a woman injured in an overnight shooting in downtown St. Louis Saturday.
St. Louis Police said that Desmond Adair, a 21-year-old man, was shot in the neck and died at an area hospital. The other victim was a 23-year-old woman was shot in the arm and has been listed as being in serious but stable condition.
The shooting was reported happening around 12:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Memorial, close to 3rd Street and Washington Avenue on Laclede’s Landing, and near the Gentry’s Landing apartments.
Police investigators report that a dark colored sedan approached the victims’ vehicle and opened fire. The victims’ vehicle smashed into a light pole during the shooting incident.
Police reports say that an unknown vehicle pulled up to an area hospital, dumped the two shooting victims, and took off.
Police are currently on the lookout for the dark colored sedan and possible suspects. No suspect descriptions have been made available.
