Driver in custody after crashing twice, travelling more than 100 mph

(KMOV.com) – A driver was taken into custody after getting into two accidents and speeding dramatically Friday morning.

A St. Louis County officer reportedly attempted to pull over a vehicle that was traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour on Interstate 270 at Lilac in north St. Louis County.   

The officer then witnessed the subject strike another vehicle and continue traveling eastbound toward the city. 

Eventually the driver crashed at Hall Street and Riverview in north St. Louis City. The subject was taken into custody. 

The condition of the suspect or the driver of the vehicle that was struck is unknown, as is why the suspect was travelling so fast. News 4 is on the scene and will bring you more updates as they develop.
