(KMOV) – A three-story home is in ruins after catching fire in the historic Lafayette Square neighborhood late Wednesday night.

Firefighters said crews responded to the fire in the 1400 block of Dolman St. around 10:30 p.m. and found the home fully engulfed in flames.

Officials said over 30 firefighters worked to contain the fire and were able to eventually knock down the blaze. The house is a complete loss.

Authorities said a family lives in the home but no one was inside when the fire broke out. No other structures were impacted and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters said they were still investigating the cause.
