FLORISSANT, Mo. -- The board of St. Louis County’s Ferguson-Florissant School District plans a full hearing to address charges against the ousted superintendent.
Art McCoy was removed on Nov. 6. School board president Paul Morris announced Thursday that the board will hold a public hearing if McCoy wants it. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that a hearing date has not been set.
McCoy’s annual salary is $217,000. His contract that runs through June 2016 entitles him to a hearing if the board is trying to fire him.
A district spokeswoman says the board has looked into several concerns, including information sent to state education officials about bloated attendance data that resulted in about $80,000 in extra funding to the district. McCoy has denied involvement.
