ST. PETERS, Mo (KMOV.com) – A man who robbed a St. Peters jewelry and coin shop in June 2012 was sentenced to 17 years in prison on Wednesday.
Kenneth Crocker, 38, of St. Peters, pleaded guilty to the crime last month.
Police say Crocker allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded more than 100 gold coins and diamond rings from the store owner after entering Smith Jewelry and Coins on Old Highway 94
St. Peters police later received an anonymous tip that Crocker’s live-in girlfriend, Crystal Siefke , pawned the jewelry for him.
Siefke later admitted to pawning some of the stolen jewelry at various pawn shops.
St. Peters police are working with various pawn shops to recover the remaining stolen jewelry.
Both Crocker and Siefke have been in trouble for theft in the past.
In 2009, Crocker was arrested by St. Peters police for two counts of Burglary, two counts of stealing over $500 and one count of property damage. He was sentence to five years of supervised probation for those crimes.
