(KMOV) – The Florissant Police Department will soon have the ability to track missing residents following a recent partnership with Project Lifesaver.
Through the Project Lifesaver agency, Florissant police can receive the necessary knowledge and equipment to track and locate missing persons who are enrolled in the program.
The program caters to individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down syndrome, Dementia, or other cognitive conditions.
The Florissant Police Department received necessary the equipment and training with a grant thru Project Lifesaver.
According to Police Chief Timothy Lowery, the Florissant Police Department will be the first law enforcement agency in eastern Missouri to have the technology.
Accompanied by Project Lifesaver’s equipment, police will reportedly save countless man-hours and ultimately decrease the risk of tragic outcome.
