(KMOV) – A man is accused of threatening a witness who identified him in a photo lineup after a theft in north St. Louis County on Sept. 30.

Robert McDonald, 51, was charged Dec. 10 with stealing a credit card and tampering with witness in felony prosecution.

According to police, McDonald was in the 11500 block of Larimore Rd. when two witnesses saw him holding a purse that had been taken from a vehicle parked on the street.

Police say the witnesses were contacted by officers at the scene and identified McDonald in a photo lineup.

Authorities say about two weeks later, one of the witnesses was sitting on his front porch when McDonald walked up.

Police say McDonald began cursing and told the witness he knew it was him who identified him.

Authorities say McDonald then pointed his fingers at the witness like a gun and said “Your days are numbered, if I don’t get you, one of my boys will.”

He was later arrested and taken into custody on a $10,000 bond.
