(KMOV) – A 25-year-old man faces charges after police say he bought three laptops from teens who stole them from Pattonville High School.

Sylvester Tramble was charged Dec. 10 with receiving stolen property, a felony.

According to court documents, a 15-year-old and 13-year-old stole three MacBook Air laptop computers that belonged to the high school and reported them lost.

Police say Tramble then bought the computers, valued at about $3,000, for $300 at a convenience store in Bridgeton on Nov. 2. Authorities say Tramble assumed they were stolen.

Police were able to track the computers through a GPS device.

The teens, who have not been identified, were charged as juveniles with felony stealing and filing a false report.
