Jordan Clarkson takes national honors

( – In a season full of honors for Missouri athletes, Jordan Clarkson is continuing to add to the impressive total.

The junior earned National Player of the Week honors after he led the Tigers past West Virginia and number 17 UCLA. Clarkson was also named SEC Player of the Week.

After scoring 25 against the Mountaineers, Clarkson followed up with 21 against the Bruins- which makes it five straight games the Tulsa transfer has scored at least 20 points.

For the week, Clarkson averaged 23 points, five rebounds five assists and two steals. He is leading the SEC in scoring at 20.2 points per game, trailed by Jabari Brown at 19.4.

The two victories moved Mizzou to 9-0 on the season. They next take on defending Mac-West Champion Western Michigan Saturday at Mizzou Arena.
